Letting Ladder is founded on the principle of connecting landlords, agents and corporate property managers with property seekers. We know that you care about how your information is used and shared and we take privacy very seriously. By visiting and using our website, you accept the practices that are detailed in this privacy policy

This Privacy policy covers Letting Ladder (and all landing pages associated with Letting Ladder Limited) treatment of personal information that is captured when you are on the Letting Ladder website. This policy does not cover the practices of third parties that Letting Ladder does not own, control or associate with, or to individuals that Letting Ladder does not employ or manage.

Information Collected by Letting Ladder

We only collect personal information that is relevant to the purpose of our website, which is to enable landlords, property managers and property seekers to connect. This information allows us to provide you with a customized and efficient experience. We do not process this information in a way that is incompatible with this objective and do not share your personal information with any third parties outside the Letting Ladder Limited group. We collect the following types of information from Letting Ladder users:

  • Information You Provide to Letting Ladder: We receive and store any information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features.
  • Registration: In order for you to use some Letting Ladder services, such as contacting a landlord or listing a property, you must complete a registration form. As part of our registration form, we require some personal information (including your full name, telephone number and e-mail address).User Profile: To allow you to share information about yourself that is not collected during registration and to connect with property seekers or managers. In addition, you may choose to include photos of yourself in your profile. As indicated below in the section titled, "Sharing Your Information" you can select how your information is seen and used.
  • Creating a Listing: If you are offering a property, room or if you are looking to connect with another property seeker you may create a listing, a listing contains information about the property, location and can contain information on the type of person that you are looking to connect with.

Automatic Information: We receive and store certain types of information each time you use Letting LadderLetting Ladder automatically receives and records "traffic data" on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information, and the page you requested. Letting Ladder uses this traffic data to help diagnose problems with its servers, analyze trends and administer the website. Letting Ladder may collect and, on any page, display the total counts that page has been viewed. Many companies offer programs that help you to visit websites anonymously.

E-mail Communications

Letting Ladder is very concerned about your privacy and will never provide your email address to a third party, as detailed in the "Sharing Information" section. Letting Ladder may send out e-mails with related products, offers, news or surveys. You may also receive notification e-mails from Letting Ladder, which inform you of actions (e.g. a new property added, communication from a tenant) that have been performed on the site. If you do not want to receive an e-mail from us, please visit the Email Preferences section on the dashboard and amend your settings. Please note that in all cases you will continue to receive all system e-mails (e.g. those regarding forgotten user passwords) and legal notices (e.g. updates to our policies).

Cookies

  1. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser which enable our systems to recognise your browser and tell us how and when pages in our website are visited and by how many people. Our cookies do not collect personal information, and we do not combine information collected through cookies with other personal information to tell us who you are or what your screen name or e-mail address is. This is a standard process that most websites follow.
  2. You can switch off cookies but we recommend that you leave the cookies activated because cookies will allow you to use some of Letting Ladder features which would otherwise not be available.

Sharing Information

Because Letting Ladder enables people to share information with one another, people's attributes, preferences and other information is an integral part of the experience. Please note that we will never sell, rent or share your personal information to anyone outside the Letting Ladder group without your permission (unless for the protection of Letting Ladder and others).

Letting Ladder Personnel: Our team and authorised consultants and/or contractors may have access to user information if necessary to carry out our business (for example during the development of site enhancements) .

  2. User Profile information: Information collected during registration and subsequent visits, such as your name and location, may be displayed to other Letting Ladder users. The Profile is the area on Letting Ladder where we enable you to communicate with landlords, property managers and property seekers about your attributes and preferences. You can control what personal information is displayed in your Profile by visiting the Settings section of your dashboard.

Keeping Secure

  1. Your account information is protected by a password for privacy and your security. To protect against unauthorised access to your password you should log off once you have finished using Letting Ladder on a shared computer.
  2. Only employees of Letting Ladder who need personal information to perform a specific job are granted access to your information (this excludes your payment information). All of our employees are kept up to date on our privacy and security practices.
  3. Your payment/ card details are not stored or handled by Letting Ladder or any of our employees, they are processed by Sage Pay who adhere to all PCI compliance standards surrounding the use and storage of card data.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Letting Ladder may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make changes to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting an announcement on our website so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances if any, it is disclosed.
